With over 25 years of professional studio experience and an accomplished portfolio within the electronic and dance music industry there are few that haven’t already heard Jamie Anderson’s work, not only through his own broad spectrum of production talents across the colours of House and Techno music but also from his high quality DJ and live performances around the globe.
Now based in the city of Berlin Jamie comes from a strong musical background growing up around musicians in West London and training in improvisation with Jazz pianist Dave Buxton in Bristol. Having first made his name internationally in the early 90’s by fusing elements of Detroit Techno, Modern Jazz and Chicago House released through his influential Artform record label he soon became recognised as a pioneer of the Tech-House genre. At this time Jamie delivered numerous classic recordings such as; Jamie Anderson & Jesse Rose ‘Body Jackin feat Steve Silk Hurley’ (International Deejay Gigolos), Jamie Anderson ‘Black Sun’ (NRK), ‘Can’t Stop’ (Artform), ‘Time Is Now’ (NRK), ‘Cyclone feat K-Alexi’ (Mija Recordings), ‘Dark Reflection’ (Rotation) and ‘Inova’ (Artform).
His diversity as an artist led to collaborative studio projects with Roberto, Deepgroove, Switch, Jesse Rose, Owain K, Jerome Krom, Daniel Haaksman, Louis Osbourne, and Florian Meindl, resulting in many highly acclaimed releases on some of the world’s most respected labels including; Bedrock, Alleanza, Cocoon, Rekids, Dessous, Flash, 100% Pure, Fossil Archive, Made To Play, Defected, Play It Down, Outland, Rotation, Hope, Immigrant, Coincidence, Man Recordings, Noise Music, Mija, NRK and Harthouse. His groundbreaking debut album was released in 2001; Jamie Anderson ‘Blue Music’ (NRK), and collaboration album with Deepgroove ‘13Machines’ (Harthouse) in 2009.
Whilst producing and performing under several pseudonyms over the years including O&A, Idiotproof, No Comment, Seventh Chord, Payme and Headlock, Jamie has engineered countless releases for many well-known artists and, additionally as a prolific remixer, having worked on projects for high-profile acts such as Riva Starr, Dave Angel, Nick Holder, Chic, Armand Van Helden, X-Press 2, Michel De Hey, Jesse Rose, Oliver Lieb, The Hacker, Paolo Mojo, Armin Van Burren, Francois Dubois, Kerri Chandler, Onionz, Daniel Haaksman, Kapote, LCAW and Audio Bullys.
As a DJ and Live act, Jamie has extensively toured the globe with performances at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Watergate and Sisyphos, Amsterdam’s Dance Valley Festival and Loveland Festival, Zouk in Singapore, Love Parade San Francisco, Moondance Festival in Croatia, Cocoon and System in Leeds, Global Gathering in the UK, Amnesia Ibiza, to name a few have all contributed towards establishing his strong world-wide fan-base.
More recently Jamie has setup a recording studio with Florian Meindl at Berlin’s Riverside Studio complex.
